FREE OUTDOOR CONCERTs
Adding to the growing momentum of activity in downtown Reading, the Downtown Alive outdoor concert series brings nationally-touring acts that perform for free in center city during the summer and fall. Each concert features a festival atmosphere and includes food trucks and beer for sale.
Started in 2015, the annual series is staged on Penn Street by the Reading Downtown Improvement District and the SMG-managed Santander Arena. Berks County Community Foundation provides funding for the concerts, and Weidenhammer serves as the major sponsor. In addition, the Berks County Convention Center Authority provides financial support.
